i was wondering if i would be considered an apostate for posting on this board.
i don't speak against the organization to any witnesses.
i do talk candidly to other inactive ones who feel the same way.
Been an exdub for a long time, but I think posting on this website only merits disapproval and maybe an unofficial scolding.

i pondered on a rather strange idea (sort of a divided feeling) today after reading an article and i wondered how all of you would react.
in the unlikely event the ivory towers of wathtower came crashing down (not literally) lets just say there was a mass awakening.
for those of you who have suffered from atrocious behavior from friends and family, how would you really react?

after being raised in the watchtower organization and having survived all of what that entails she has picked up the pieces, analyzed her strengths and has made choices to better herself and the community.. .

my jw friend of 20 years, the first one i ever met, the one who got me into jwism in the first place, unfriended me from facebook without explanation.
other jws who have unfriended me at least called me names (apostate) and told me they were unfriending me, but they were no loss.
but someone who's been your friend since you were 13...and no explanation...i'd think 20 years- 20 years!

by this, given that neither man nor beast has a spirit, but that they do possess souls (or "intelligences" unique to themselves).
where this intelligence resides between death and resurrection is more than a passing interest, but again, assuming that yehweh can recreate one's distict soul, does the society believe that animals have souls?

When I first brought Gustavo home, he didn't bloom for the first three years, even though I gave him the best treatment a plant could ask for --good lighting, plant food, regular watering. After the third year of no blooms, I ... I'm so ashamed to admit that I was that heartless ... but I threatened to toss him into the garbage if he didn't bloom the next year. Guess what? The very next year he bloomed!!! And every year since. We've been very good friends for 15 years.
Don't you think that kind of bravery in the face of adversity deserves the atonement of Christ?

I'm so glad to hear that the atonement of Christ covers plants too. I have a houseplant I'm very fond of. I call him Gustavo. He blooms with beautiful pink flowers in the winter. I'm going to tell him the good news right now.
